The New MEL 80 Is Too Fast
Due to its significantly shorter laser treatment duration, the MEL 80 minimizes the infection risk and accelerates the visual recovery of the eye. Thus the patient safety and comfort is maximized.
Small Spot Diameter
MEL 80 laser system has a spot diameter of 0.7 mm and Gaussian ışın profile. Thanks to the laser profile it offers and its technology, the MEL 80 laser system has an apparent superiority over the other devices available in the wavefront and custom laser treatment (customized ablation) applications. MEL 80 has the latest generation eye tracking mechanism produced by the SMI GmbH (Berlin, Germany) which is a world leader company in infrared guided tracking mechanisms. While the most of the devices available in the market cannot even come close to the 10 miliseconds (which is the minimum limit for real eye tracking) the MEL 80 detects the 2 - 6 miliseconds movements of the eye and provide continuous exposion of laser spots to the very same point through the laser treatment. By this mean, affection of the patient's eye movements on the laser treatment are avoided. The device enables surgeons to implement the laser treatment in safe and as intended.
The Ray - Atmospher Control
MEL 80 is a device capable of controlling the air current on the area between the laser pulse and the eye. By this means, the microparticuls detached from th cornea during the laser operation are effectively removed from the environment and the conditions of the distance between the laser pulse and the eye are optimized.
Active Energy Control Unit
This unit provides the active monitorization of the energy level during the laser operation. By this means the fluctuation of the energy are kept in 1 - 2 % levels. In some other devices the fluctuations during the treatment may rise up to 30 % levels. Thanks the active energy control unit, the continuity and the safety of the treatment are secured. |
